What we collect

When you send an enquiry through a form on this website, we collect:

• your name
• your mobile number
• your email address, if you give it
• what you are interested in, your experience level and your preferred days or times, if you choose them
• anything else you write in the message box

If you contact us by email, WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, we receive what you send us and the contact details that come with it.

If you train with us, you may tell us about injuries or medical conditions so we can coach you safely. Please do not include medical details in the website enquiry form.

If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use this website, such as the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, roughly where you are (town or region) and how you found us. See section 07.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• reply to your enquiry and help you find the right class or session
• arrange a class, trial or 1-to-1 session you ask about
• coach you safely, taking account of any health information you give us
• keep a record of our conversations with you
• understand how this website is used and improve it, only if you allow analytics cookies
• meet our legal obligations

Under UK data protection law, we rely on: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us and running our gym; taking steps you ask for before entering into an agreement with you, such as booking a session; your consent, for analytics cookies and for any health information you choose to give us; and legal obligation, where the law requires us to keep or share information.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for automated decision-making. We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to 12 months after our last contact with you. If you go on to train with us, we keep the information we need for as long as you train with us and for a reasonable period afterwards, for example to answer questions or meet legal requirements.

Google Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months. Your cookie choice is kept for 6 months. We delete or anonymise information we no longer need.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with service providers who help us run this website and our business, and only as much as they need:

• Webflow, which hosts this website and receives the enquiry forms
• Cloudflare, which loads a spam check (Turnstile) on pages with an enquiry form and checks form submissions to block spam
• Google, for Google Analytics (only if you allow analytics cookies) and for the web fonts used on this site
• our email provider, which stores the emails we send and receive

If you contact us through WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook, those services also handle your messages under their own privacy policies.

Some of these providers are based in, or store information in, the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our members, staff or the public.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct it
• ask us to delete it
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
• ask for it in a format you can take elsewhere
• withdraw your consent at any time, for example by changing your cookie preferences

To use any of these rights, email info@21stcenturycombat.co.uk. We will reply within one month. In most cases there is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. This website uses:

• Essential: 21cc_consent remembers your cookie choice for 6 months. Our form spam protection may also use strictly necessary technologies when you send an enquiry.
• Analytics, only if you allow them: Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_NB40L0EBP1 to tell visits apart. They last up to 2 years.

Analytics cookies stay off until you choose Accept all or turn Analytics on. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie preferences at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
